Diary Entry

10th October 2016,

Hi, my name is Daffodil, my mama used to call me Daff but I think it sounds like Dandruff so she started calling me Dil instead. I’m 15 years old and I live in a small town called Seargia. It’s been a year since my whole family moved here.

I’m a freshman. I like to listen to The Borderlands an indie band from my small town. Seems like they’re good, because most girls from my school worships them. Though there’s 87.56% chance that their looks are what sustains this band.

My older brother, Jorge told me that the chances they’ll ever be discovered is slim but I disagree, I think they will make it. Even if they don’t, they still have “The Borders” a groupie that follows them around. Don’t tell anyone, but since my best friend, Ron told me he’s also one of “The Borders” I decided I should be one too. I think this is a prime example of ‘peer pressure’. My homeroom teacher, Mrs. McGuire just taught us the meaning of this word. She said, and I quote, “Teens tend to smoke and drink because of peer pressure.”

I disagree, but I kept my mouth shut. My mama, and papa have known Ronnie and I are best friend since last year (not really convincing). But in my defence, the chances of him smoking and drinking is close to zero.

Ronnie likes to play video games, and watch NatGeo. I guess you could call us pretty normal. We define “hanging out” as lounging on the couch and gossips about his mates or my mates. Jorge told me that Ronnie has a crush on me but I don’t think so. I mean, it’s too weird to even think about.

Ronnie is my best friend, we hang out a lot. Just yesterday, Trey who looks exactly like Zayn Malik told me I smell bad, Ronnie stood up for me and told him,

“Well, Trey, it’s such a good thing that you look like Zayn Malik but unfortunately you can not sing.”

Trey just stood in front of him puzzled, slowly retreating. Not quite the comeback I expected but it’s good enough.

Afterwards, he took me to a mini market and bought me a box of Pocari Sweat (he thinks ion will help me move on from my pain of being humiliated by my crush). Idk, we’re weird.

Anyway that’s all for today.

Bye.

Sign

(Dandruff)

P.s. I think Dandruff is a cool nickname.
